抄録: Even though agricultural production in XINJANG has been significantly improved by the grand-scale reclamation, a lot of farm land has been abandoned cultivation due to the dry and vulnerable land condition. Recent change of agriculture in XINJIANG includes increase in green houses. Different from conventional expansive growth type agriculture, green house has a property of land productivity improvement based on intensive labor. Taking up the green house in XINJANG as a theme, I ユll analyze and consider the development process and geographical distribution of green house in this paper based on the statistics book, previous study and field work. I believe that green house in XINJANG continues to develop in the future due to the factors set out below: ① Strong political support by government: With an influence of state level project (Shopping bag project), the government has announced it will powerfully promote expansion of green house; ② Market growth: The market has spread within XINJANG and other regions in China, and even to overseas (ex. Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan) Increase in vegetable cultivation in XINJANG, however, leads to competition with production regions outside XINJANG. Competition between production sites within XINJANG is also expected as such production sites in XINJANG grow. Therefore, it is believed to be necessary to cope with such issues by differentiation in varieties and cultivation period as well as organization of production information network.
