抄録: This paper aims to clarify the life course of each male child care workers' generations. In the preceding research, the necessity of the male child care worker are discussed. Especially, it is pointed out that female child care workers of long experience consider that male child care workers are unnecessary. Because the female workers think that they can supplement the uniqueness of the child care of the male child care workers with their experiences. However, the difference of the child care experience by male child care workers' generations is not examined in the preceding research. The path to become child care workers and the jobs of child care might be different according to the experience and the generation. These issues are explored through survey data from a sample of 64 male child care workers. As a result of the analysis, the younger the generation was, the shorter the term from school graduation until becoming male child care worker was. The male workers of the younger generation became child care workers by the same route as the woman, that is by the shortest route. Moreover, the male workers of a young generation were doing work different from women because of "a Man". The more increases the child care experience, the less important the child care workers become "a Man" . The difference of gender does not become a problem for them by passing in the age and experiencing the child care. This case shows what by it should think about not the necessities of "Male" workers but the necessities of the male and female workers. The sex job separation in the day - care center might be disappearing.
