抄録: The present study examined developmental characteristics of intellectual realism in young children’s drawings. The intellectual realism investigated in this study was non-view drawings and transparency drawings. In this study, three experiments were conducted. In the Experiment 1 was conducted to clarify the relationship between non-view specific drawings and explication of view point. The results of Experiment 1 indicated that there was no relation between above two factors. In the Experiment 2 was conducted to clarify the relationship between non-view specific drawings and self-portraits drawing. The results of Experiment 2 indicated that young children who drew view-specific drawings were higher score of self- portraits drawing tasks than young children who drew non-view specific drawings. Finally, Experiment 3 was conducted to clarify the relationship between transparency drawings and self-portraits drawing. As in Experiment 2 , the result of Experiment 3 indicated that young children who drew view-specific drawings were higher score of self-portraits drawing tasks than young children who drew transparency drawings. These findings suggest that skills like self-portraits drawing contribute to the development of drawing within young children.
